Hero Dublin Mince pies
Look there’s so many places that do mince pies, but the hero one’s are the one’s I’m talking about. the one’s that are a bit extra.
The Cupcake Bloke
This guys is the Cupcake Bloke. It’s like a mini mince pie tart. The pastry is super buttery and delicious, you know when you’re like, that’s tasty pastry, this is it. the crumble on top is also yummy with clusters as you can see. the mince meat is definitely smoother and kind of a paste with fruit in it, but so tasty too.
Sceal
Honestly, if you haven’t had these yet go grab ‘em. The base is like a croissant style layered pastry. They have them on a thursday + Saturday and they’re delicious. Order a pack of six because, lets be honest, you will not regret it. They come with this whipped butter when you order a pack which is so delicious too.
Two Pups
Ok, not technically a mince pie but I had to add these two the list, they’re stunning. They are a financier with mincemeat and whipped cream. The dried orange slice looks SO cute.
No Messin’
You’ll find these puff pastry babies in Proper order’s home. they’re so much yummy filling and have a lovely golden crust with sugary top.
Bread 41
I couldn’t get enough of these last year, when the season ended, I think I may have missed them a bit. Ok, I did.
They’ve a shortcrust pastry base then a generous and lovely amount of mince meat (worst thing when there’s literally 3 pieces of raisin in between pastry.
Pepper pot
These come in a portion of two, with brandy butter. Now, I’m not a fan of suet and they do have them inside, so you’ve been warned if you aren’t a fan either. But the pastry was so delicious and the little portion was super cute so I couldn’t not add them to this guide. They’re mini too, CUTE.
Gaillot et Grey
These guys have puff pastry, a decent bit of filling and then, its a smidge of frangipanie on top.
